Last night around 6pm we were called by Jess' mom. She told Jess that she had two tickets to see The Color Purple that night and wondered if we wanted them. Well Jess was of course over the moon excited about such an opportunity! We ate dinner really quick, fed Delaney, and headed out the door. We had a heck of a time getting parked and to the Music Hall, but once there it was great. I have only seen the movie, but Jess has read the book and seen the movie. She's always hoped she'd get to see the play. It was an amazing experience. The acting and music were phenomenal!!! We had seats pretty close to the stage so we had a great view of everything. Delaney watched the first little part of it and then fell asleep until close to the end when I fed her and she snuggled Jess. Overall it was worth the chaos beforehand and the subsequent lack of sleep.
